The body responsible for approval of the Final Evaluation Report, has the power to:
| P | Approve the Final Evaluation Report and accept the relevant recommendation of the Competent Body for the Evaluation of Tenders: |
| P | Awarding the contract to the tenderer whose tender was selected, following the evaluation procedure, as the most economically advantageous one or the one with the lowest price, in the case of contracts for which the award criterion is the most economically advantageous tender or exclusively the lowest price, respectively. |
| P | Rejecting the tenders considered, in accordance with the Final Evaluation Report, to be eliminable. |
| P | Approve the Final Evaluation Report and accept the relevant recommendation of the Competent Body for the Evaluation of Tenders, cancelling the tender procedure. |
| P | Choose not to accept the recommendation of the Competent Body for the Evaluation of Tenders, and award the contract to a tenderer other than the tenderer suggested by the Competent Body. |
| P | Choose not to accept the recommendation of the Competent Body for the Evaluation of Tenders, and cancel the tender procedure. |
It is understood that despite the aforementioned theoretical option of not accepting the recommendation of the Competent Body for the Evaluation of Tenders, the Competent Body for the Award of the Contract is usually expected to agree with the recommendation, with the exception of the case where the cancellation of the tender procedure is necessitated for departmental reasons not having to do with the Competent Body for the Evaluation of Tenders, and of the potential existence of serious and substantiated suspicions regarding the functioning of the Competent Body for the Evaluation of Tenders and the legitimacy of its actions in the performance of its work
