7.4.10.1 Identification of stakeholders

Home Page  <<  >>

The term “stakeholder” is used in this section to define the person or entity within or outside the project requiring regular information about the project.

In order to identify the “communications stakeholders” you should first review the Project Organization defined in the Project Brief (refer to 1.5.3.4) and then think of the individuals or organizations who are actively involved in the project or whose interests may be positively or negatively affected as a result of project execution or successful project completion. Once you have identified the stakeholders who may require information during the project, you should prepare a list of them and record their contact details (address, telephone number, fax number, e mail address etc).

Examples of “communications stakeholders” are:

Project Owner
Implementing Agency
Contracting Authority
Funding Agency
Project Steering Committee
Project Manager
Project Team Managers
Project team
Planning Bureau
Procurement Manager
End users
Other beneficiaries
